Since the opening of the 2023 Dalian Fashion Week on September 1st, more than a hundred students have volunteered at different shows. They were an indispensable force backstage, known as the “Guardian Sweetheart” of the fashion models.

During the Dalian Fashion Week this time, 147 students from Liaoning Vocational College of Light Industry volunteered at more than 50 shows in Z28 Fashion Valley, Dalian Xinghai Square, Pavilion, and other venues. They helped with arrangements for the venues, changing costumes and make-up, delivery, safety and security, and other voluntary services.

The volunteers started their work in the morning by helping the models wear costumes and ended their day at 1 o’clock at midnight when the rehearsal was complete. These volunteers, each with their own division of labor, shuttled between different shows, handling various trivial but significant jobs. They have indeed become an attractive landscape in the shows.

Hard work brought much reward. The student volunteers fond of the garment industry had profound communication with professionals here. They broadened their horizons and grew by learning about the latest ideas of fashion design and the global fashion trend.
